The mission of the Figure Skating Club of Park City is to foster figure skating on ice by promoting, encouraging, advancing and improving the ice skating experience for its members, in all areas of recreational and eligible figure skating.
The club esteems to cultivate an environment that holds as priority a spirit of harmony, assistance, fair play and cohesiveness among skaters and their families. The club is purposed to provide instruction and training of individual skaters, as well as the public, in the sport of amateur figure skating, through regularly scheduled ice skating sessions, tests, competitions, shows and other amateur ice skating events.
The Figure Skating Club of Park City was formed in 2007, after the completion of the Park City Ice Arena. They provide support for skaters of all ages and levels. Now, the Figure Skating Club of Park City has nearly 100 members!
The Figure Skating Club of Park City invites skaters of all levels to become a member! If you are relatively new to skating, please consider our Aspire Program. If you've never skated, visit Park City's Skating Academy to register for beginner classes. If you have questions about what level of programming is appropriate for your skater, please contact Erika Roberts.
The Figure Skating Club of Park City could not survive without our dedicated families and community members’ volunteer support. Membership fees only cover 20% of total club expenses. We think that it is important that we keep our programs affordable and accessible so we rely on fundraising events and donations to cover the other percentage of club expenses. In order to ensure that the club receives the required volunteer support, a payment plan will automatically be set up at the time of registration. Families will only be billed for the cost of membership during registration, with a second payment (in the amount of the Volunteer Charge) set up to run on May 31st. The remaining payment (Volunteer Charge) will be canceled for families that work the minimum number of hours.
Families that work less than the minimum hours will be billed their full Volunteer Charge to the card on file at the end of the season.
Families will have the option to "buy out" their volunteer requirement and pay the Volunteer Charge in full at time of registration.
Volunteer hours for each skating season must be completed between June 1st and May 31st. All volunteer hours are tracked through the Sports Engine DIBS system. If you volunteer for an event or job not listed in the DIBS system, you must contact the FSCPC Volunteer Coordinator to receive credit for your hours. Credit will then be assigned manually in the DIBS system.
