VIRTUAL LIVE ZOOM CLASSES

Hello athletes and parents! As we head into week 5 of #stayathome, we hope you all have been staying busy during this time of uncertainty and enjoying the variety of virtual classes and videos our coaches have been working so hard to provide for you.

Our coaches have been busy making videos for the Ice Arena's YouTube channel and putting together a comprehensive calendar of LIVE ZOOM classes for you. The group classes are taught by the coaches and payment goes to them directly. All of our coaches are also available for Facetime or Skype private lessons as well. Contact them directly to schedule a session. There is so much our athletes can be working on right now off the ice.

Yearbook order deadline extended until May 1st

Emily Boyd has been working hard to put together a 2019/2020 yearbook for the FSCPC.  We anticipate that these will be ready by mid-May, depending upon the printing company’s capacity due to potential closures.  The yearbooks will be available for pre-purchase here until May 1st. The cost is $12, and if you choose to have it delivered to your home, there is an additional $3 fee.  Otherwise we will coordinate a time/place for pick-up while observing social distancing rules.

The Registration "" is not currently available.

Featured athlete & coach series

As we navigate through this difficult time off the ice and away from our skating friends and coaches, we will be featuring our amazing athletes (and our coaches) on social media. To be featured, please fill out the form and be sure to include a picture of you skating! (we don't want to forget about the ice!)

US Figure Skating Covid-19 Season updates

Excel Series:  Cancelled - will host a virtual festival the same weekend. Skaters will receive their Excel Series t-shirt and commemorative pin.

National Solo Dance Series:

  • As a reminder, the Series registration deadline is now May 1, and test requirements for this season have been waived.
  • Qualification for the Final: Skaters will be required to compete in a Sectional event. Placement at the Sectional event will determine qualification for the Final; the top 7 skaters in each event from each Sectional will qualify for the Final. The 3 sectional events will be held as follows:
    • Eastern: Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships (Lake Placid, NY): July 29-31
    • Midwestern: Last Chance 4 Solo Dance (Adrian, MI): August 8-9
    • Pacific: Copper Cup (Bountiful, UT): August 13-15
  • If feasible, skaters are encouraged to compete at other Series events for feedback on programs and gain additional competitive experience.
  • Dances required for the Series have been modified as follows:
    • Combined events: will compete the dances for the second half of the season at the Sectional and the Final. (ie, for Juvenile, the Willow Waltz)
    • Pattern Dance: will compete the Series dances for the Sectional and the Final. (ie, for Preliminary, the Dutch Waltz & the Canasta Tango)
  • We continue to monitor the situation; we expect to reassess the situation the first week in July and will be in touch if anything changes. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

2020 NATIONAL QUALIFYING SERIES – UPDATE AS OF APRIL 10, 2020

  1. NQS Skater Application (available via EMS) currently scheduled to open May 1 – June 1 will be delayed and tentatively open June 1 – June 28*.
  1. The NQS will “pause” for the month of June. The Series will begin with events starting in July or with the majority of their event schedule in July**. The previously approved NQS events in June will continue – at the organizers’ choice – as regular non-qualifying events (i.e. scores will not count toward NQS standings).
  1. Ice Dance will not be included in the NQS this season and will resume in the 2021 NQS. This decision was made upon the recommendation of the dance committee. Ice Dance couples will begin their 2021 qualifying seasons with their respective Sectional Challenges.
    • Please note that singles and pairs will remain in the Series. This decision was based on input from the singles and pairs committees.
    • The Competitions Committee will review the status of the 2020 NQS on Monday, May 18, and take any additional actions at that time, if necessary.

we are getting recognized! Go Team Park City!
