Additionally, please make sure that your skater checks in with the front desk for all Freestyles sessions, Public Skate sessions and ice arena Off-ice classes. They must also check themselves in manually for all early morning freestyle sessions. This is how the rink is tracking attendance for potential contact tracing information should it become necessary.

IMPORTANT - Club Ice Policies and Procedures

A few important things to note regarding participating in Club Ice with PCSC:

  1. Skaters with Club Ice Packages must RSVP for each session every week.
    • As we did last year, we will be using SportsEngine to track skater attendance on club ice sessions. Any skater who registered for one or more club ice packages will be rostered to each session's "team" in the SportsEngine app.
    • Please download SportsEngine on your smartphone's app store, and login with the credentials you used to sign up for club membership, club ice, etc.
    • To RSVP - Open the App, click the calendar Schedule icon at the bottom > tap "Yes", "Maybe" or "No" (depending on whether your skater will or will not attend) for each 30-minute session that your skater is signed up for.
    • Ice monitors will give away spots to drop-in skaters if your skater has not arrived 5 minutes after the start of the session.

  1. Covid-19 Compliance:
    • Any skater that attends a club ice session agrees that they:
      • Have not had a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, chills, muscle aches, loss of taste or smell or GI distress in the last 48 hours
      • AND have not had contact with anyone with or suspected to have COVID in the last 14 days.
    • The Ice Arena continues to operate in accordance with the Governor’s Phased Guidelines 4.10 and with the Summit County Mask Ordnance.
      • The ice surface capacity is limited to 20 people when face coverings/face shields are not worn.
      • FSCPC Club Ice will follow the Park City Ice Arena's protocols. Click Here to be directed to the PCIA stabilization phase page.
      • PCIA requires all skaters to complete this waiveronce per year. If you have not already done so please complete prior to attending your first club ice session.

  1. FSCPC members will sit at the far end of the lobby.
  • To accommodate space for Skating Academy, PCIA asks that all club skaters sit at the far end of the lobby on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Complete your Safesport Training

This is a friendly reminder to please send your skater's SafeSport certificate to our compliance coordinator Andy Biskup: andybiskup@yahoo.com

This year's club membership requires skaters to complete their age-appropriate SafeSport module in order to be in good standing with the club. Click here to access the SafeSport page with the age-specific trainings. All are free and should take 10-15 minutes, depending on your skater's age.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent 501c(3) non-profit organization focused on ending all forms of abuse in sport. For more information about the organization and it's mission visit uscenterforsafesport.org.

Positive Coaching Alliance Partnership

We are also thrilled to announce FSCPC’s partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) for the upcoming year - with potential for an ongoing partnership.

PCA/FSCPC will be offering seven workshop opportunities this year - separate trainings for coaches, parents and athletes. More information will be sent out as available. The club is providing the workshops free to our members, but we will be asking all skaters/parents to purchase the $6 PCA workbooks, which will be used throughout the year.

PCA/FSCPC Mission: To educate and actively support the Figure Skating Club of Park City in providing youth athletes valuable, non-cognitive skills that will benefit them in athletic competitions, classroom, community and career. Positive Coaching Alliance seeks to change the culture of win-at-all cost to developing Better Athletes, Better People by teaching life lessons through sports, and educating coaches and parents to do the same.

The Positive Coaching Alliance has reached over 19 million youth athletes through 3,500 organization partnerships across the country. For more information, please visit the PCA website and/or watch this 2-minute video.
