From Erin Hendrix - FSCPC Fundraising Coordinator:
As our club year begins, we are looking forward to providing safe, fun, and meaningful skating opportunities for our members, as well as supporting our amazing coaches. We are seeking community sponsorships to make tax-deductible donations and become an important part of our community. These donated funds are utilized to pay our coaches for their instruction time on club ice, training equipment, ice time for club events, clinics, professional development for our coaches, assist qualifying skaters with costs of national competitions, and all other club activities that benefit all of our members.
We have 5 sponsorship levels available. Please, use this link to donate and share with family members and/or businesses: https://figureskatingclubofparkcity.sportngin.com/register/form/737179132
Sponsorship Levels:
Our sponsors will receive special recognition on our club website, social media accounts, monthly newsletters, club show programs, and memory book. You will receive credit toward your fundraising hours for securing sponsors and you will be eligible to receive funds in return based on the level of sponsorship you secure. Please, visit the “Fundraising” section of your handbook for more detailed information.
Thank you, for your consideration and support!

This is a friendly reminder to please send your skater's SafeSport certificate to our compliance coordinator Andy Biskup: andybiskup@yahoo.com
This year's club membership requires skaters to complete their age-appropriate SafeSport module in order to be in good standing with the club. Click here to access the SafeSport page with the age-specific trainings. All are free and should take 10-15 minutes, depending on your skater's age.
The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent 501c(3) non-profit organization focused on ending all forms of abuse in sport. For more information about the organization and it's mission visit uscenterforsafesport.org.
CLUB ICE, PUBLIC SKATE & FREESTYLE COVID SCREENINGS
A new policy is in place for club ice and every skater will be asked screening questions and have their temperature checked prior to accessing the ice.
Symptom Screening Questions:
1. Do you have any symptoms of COVID-19? (Shortness of breath, cough, etc)
2. In the last 14 days, have you or anyone in your household tested positive for COVID-19?
3. In the last 14 days, have you been in close contact with a known case?
If the answer to any of the above questions is "yes", the skater will not be eligible to enter the session.
Additionally, while masks are required on sessions where 20 or more skaters and/or coaches are on the ice, based on CDC findings that Covid-19 is transmitted via aerosol, proper mask wearing is recommended during any indoor activity (including club ice, freestyle and public skate sessions). Masks are also required to be worn at all times in the ice arena lobby and locker rooms.
Club Ice Check-in Reminder
Please remind your skaters to check in with the Ice Monitor each day, BEFORE they get on their club ice sessions, even if they RSVP'd via SportsEngine!
But while we're on the topic of SportsEngine, please also remember to RSVP in the app - especially if you know your skater will not attend a session.
Let's celebrate Halloween all week this year with a Halloween-themed Spirit week! Check your email and our Instagram and Facebook pages for the theme each day! Spirit week is presented by our Junior Board!
Sofia Holland, a former FSCPC skater, will begin taking skater headshots/portraits (for the FSCPC board in the rink lobby) in the coming week. Please see the initial dates below. Skaters should wear their club jacket or a black jacket/top. We'll arrange additional dates as needed, but it may be necessary for your skater to come during a time they aren't scheduled to skate.

We are also thrilled to announce FSCPC’s partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) for the upcoming year - with potential for an ongoing partnership.
PCA/FSCPC will be offering seven workshop opportunities this year - separate trainings for coaches, parents and athletes. More information will be sent out as available. The club is providing the workshops free to our members, but we will be asking all skaters/parents to purchase the $6 PCA workbooks, which will be used throughout the year.
PCA/FSCPC Mission: To educate and actively support the Figure Skating Club of Park City in providing youth athletes valuable, non-cognitive skills that will benefit them in athletic competitions, classroom, community and career. Positive Coaching Alliance seeks to change the culture of win-at-all cost to developing Better Athletes, Better People by teaching life lessons through sports, and educating coaches and parents to do the same.
The Positive Coaching Alliance has reached over 19 million youth athletes through 3,500 organization partnerships across the country. For more information, please visit the PCA website and/or watch this 2-minute video.
