Figure Skating Club Updates

Fall Club ice will open for Registration in August

With the morning freestyle sessions so busy, we encourage skaters to support the club and purchase club ice sessions! This is a great way to practice training and competing in the afternoon hours.

Additionally, our coaches will be working together to offer some group training options appropriate for your skater's level. If you are interested in learning  about the semi-private/group lessons available to  your skater, please reach out to your primary coach.

The most cost-effective way to skate on club ice  is to purchase the entire session. This also guarantees your skater's spot on the session in the event the session is sold-out. Punch passes are also available at a higher rate per  session.

All club ice sessions are sold in 30-minute increments. If your skater has a lesson that overlaps between 2 sessions then you must purchase both sessions or use 2 punches.

Aspire/Low Freestyle Programs: Both of these programs are open to anyone who would like to participate, not just our Aspire/Introductory members. These programs are targeted for our Basic Skills through No-test skaters who have not yet landed an axel jump.

Fundraising informational meeting 8/10 4pm

JANS Winter Welcome (JWW) is just around the corner!  As a reminder, this is the Club's largest fundraiser and is critical to our ability to offer shows, programming, skater support, coach support and subsidized Club Ice.   Be on the lookout for additional detail from the Fundraising Committee.

  • Opportunity Drawing Tickets are $50 each and a great way to meet your annual fundraising obligation to the Club.

First Volunteer Opportunity of the season!

The Utah Figure Skating Club is proud host the 2022 Copper Cup figure skating competition from Thursday, August 11th through Saturday the 13th; with a full day test session on Sunday the 14th.  This event will be held at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex located on the University of Utah Campus at 645 South Guardsman Way in SLC.

As this competition is part of the National Qualifying Series (NQS) and National Solo Dance Series it is forecasted to draw a larger than average number of skaters.

Therefore, we are seeking to fill many volunteer positions to help things run smoothly.  If you are interested in volunteering at the 2022 Copper Cup competition click the link below.
