We are replacing the rubber flooring in the locker room hallway and locker rooms April 1-14. The locker room hallway, including lockers, storage areas, and locker rooms, will be inaccessible during this time.
We will send multiple emails and post signage at the facility over the next two months to ensure patrons are aware. Please help promote the message and reach out if you have other operational issues, we need to address regarding your storage unit or otherwise.
The locker room hallway and lockers will not be accessible as of April 1. Please remove belongings by the end of the day on Sunday, March 31. The lockers will be draped, and the floor will be impassible. For those who choose to leave items inside your locker, you will not be able to access your belongings until work is complete (expected re-entry April 15). Annual locker agreements will be extended two weeks past your scheduled expiration date. The vendors will tape off the lockers to mitigate disruption to the inside of the lockers and any belongings. However, if you leave items inside, you do so at your own risk. Dust, odor, etc., could enter the locker cavity.
We are very excited to welcome Jackie Brenner to the Park City Ice Arena for a Skating Clinic on March 2 & 3! Jackie is AMAZING and has the skills to benefit ALL of our athletes, basic skills through ice dance and elite freestyle as well. Thanks our awesome fundraising, the board of directors has subsidized this clinic to make it affordable for all skaters. We hope you will all join us!
PRIVATE LESSONS: A sign-up genius for private lessons on Sunday, March 3rd will be available soon. Private lessons with Jackie can be scheduled for an additional fee payable directly to Jackie during the club freestyle sessions on Sunday, March 3rd from 7-10am.
JACKIE BRENNER: Jacqueline is the Director of Figure Skating Operations at Arctic Edge Ice Arena and Blazers Ice Centre in Edmond and Oklahoma City, OK. As a Coach of U.S. Figure Skating Regional Champions, Sectional and Junior National medalists, Jacqueline has been teaching ice-skating for over twenty-five years.

She places tremendous significance on character, integrity, superb sportsmanship and being a positive role model for others. She has authored two professional development courses “Coaching the Young Skater” and “Leadership in Sport”, which still serve today as Sports Science and Ethics online educational courses. Currently holding PSA Master ratings in four disciplines (Free skate, Moves in the Field, Ice Dance and Free Dance) and a Level IV ranking, Jacqueline was honored with the PSA Developmental Coach of the Year 2000 and the PSA Volunteer of the Year award in 2006.

Skaters must register for the show by February 26th to participate.
This year we have three options for participation in the show. Please read carefully, and consider the information below - you'll select your option when you register.
I am an Aspire member and I only want to participate in one Aspire number in the show. I will have less practice times and will not need to stay at the rehearsals as long. I do not need to try out for a part in the show. Practices will be on Monday 4/22 and 4/29 at 5:30-6:15. Option A is recommended for first year club members or skaters that don’t want as big of a commitment. If you are not sure what to sign up for please ask a coach
I am an Aspire member and I want the full show experience. I will participate in tryouts and all practices and rehearsals. Please also note the Casting Considerations in the section below
I am a Full Primary Club Member or Associate Member and I will participate in tryouts, all practices and rehearsals. Important: Associate members are not eligible for solos, per the Membership Benefits section of our Members Handbook
Important Dates (depending on which option you choose):
All skaters participating in the show must try out, EXCEPT for the Aspire skaters who selected option A. If you are not available for tryouts please contact a director for alternative options.
Auditions are your time to show the casting committee your best interpretation of the music and skating skills. Tryouts will be for the leading roles and ensemble roles of the production. All character parts are adapted from the movie. Characters will maintain some personality traits, but the storyline and roles will be adapted to match the demographics of our skaters/cast. Character roles will be awarded based on skating skills, showmanship and the overall “Wow Factor” displayed when performing!
AUDITION TIMES for those who select options B or C
We cast our show immediately after auditions. The casting committee includes the Directors, Casting Coaches and Committee chairs. Please read important casting items below.
Please Note - Every cast member is important for the show to be a success. Please understand that most main character roles will be cast to the higher-level skaters, however, we are still looking for skaters of all ages and levels to fill all the roles for an amazing production.
We have a very large number of Juvenile (Now Bronze) through Senior (Now Gold) level skaters. In a perfect show, we would cast every high-level skater in a character role but that is not always possible.
The Ice Show Directors reserve the right to cast any skater in any role that they feel best tells the story. Skaters may be cast as animals, enchanted objects, village people, etc. and female skaters may be cast as male characters or the other way around.
Some skaters may be required to wear wigs or hairpieces, these are non-negotiable, just like all other costume parts.
We will acknowledge and celebrate our Juvenile level and higher athletes who will be representing the Figure Skating Club of Park City for the 2023/2024 season. Join us for the party!
We are so excited to provide exhibition opportunities for our skaters this winter season at the Promontory ice rink. The exhibition dates are Thursday, February 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th at 4:30pm and the skaters are invited to stay and skate with the guests after the show. An on-ice warm up will be available to the performers prior to showtime at 4pm.
We will need 6 numbers per date. We would like skaters of varying ages and levels. Duets, trios or small group numbers are welcome and encouraged.
