The Junior Board of the Figure Skating Club of Park City has been working very hard this summer to help organize an event to raise money for the Scott Hamilton CARES foundation. In case you have not heard, the event will be held at the Park City Ice Arena on Saturday, September 9, 2017 and is called SK8 to Elimin8 Cancer:
One of the highlights of the day will be a Silent Auction of items donated from many generous individuals and companies throughout our community.
The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation funds world-class research and quality care for cancer survivors. It also funds programs in early detection, advanced diagnostics and leading edge cancer treatment. We are very proud of the hard work that the Junior Board has put into coordinating the event, and know that they are excited to participate in something that has such an impact on a topic that effects so many people that we all know.
The Junior Board Would Love Your Help!
We hope to raise a lot of money to show the Foundation that Park City cares and would love for you to be involved in any way that you can. How can you help?
For additional information, to volunteer, to donate an item or enter a race team, please contact Melissa Gready at melissagready@comcast.net
If you are interested in learning more about the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, please visit www.scottcares.org .
Platinum season pass holders just need to let Jessica or Erika know which programs they will be participating in so the rosters are accurate.

Our athletes are simply amazing. On Sunday, August 27th at the Youth Sports Alliance Circle of Excellence Awards, 7 of our athletes were recognized for their achievements both on and off the ice.
The All-Star award recognizes success at the local and regional levels while the Champion Award recognizes National and international success. These athletes represent the top 5% of athletes in each of the YSA's member clubs.
Champion Award- Sam Bray
All-Star Awards- Annika Futch, Zoe Hopper, Andee Lyons, Brynn Roberts
Each of the member clubs are asked to nominate an athlete or athletes who exemplify leadership with in their club. Brynn and Amelie were nominated for the Leadership award based on their generous donation to the club from their business, Ice Bunnies Fuzzy Ear Warmers with which they helped purchase the new show curtain.
Leadership Award Nominees- Brynn Roberts and Amelie Stein
Sam Bray won the Sam Jackenthal Showstopper Award over many other talented nominees. Sam is the first athlete from our club who qualified for the US National Championships and she is the first athlete from our club to land a double axel jump in competition. She completed 4 double axels en route to her national top 10 finish.

Please remind your skaters to lock their lockers. All lockers are currently rented so there are no available lockers. Many lockers do not even have locks on them. We are not responsible for items that go missing from unlocked lockers.
As of Sept 1, we will not support using CDs on freestyle or club ice sessions. If you haven't picked up your digital music keycard, please get it from Erika or Tiffany.
