We will be utilizing the feedback from our athletes to evaluate the candidates! Be a part of the process! We encourage athletes to register for classes with both coaches so we have comparative feedback.
Park City Ice Arena is hiring a new coach - specifically a jump specialist! As part of the interview process, each candidate will be teaching some group classes and we will be asking for verbal and written feedback from the skaters. Our hope is that most skaters will take classes with both coaches so the feedback is as meaningful and beneficial as possible.
The cost per class is $50 divided by the number of skaters who participate. You will be invoiced by the FSCPC to make payment.
Our coaches have been asked to be flexible with their schedules to allow for skaters to participate in the group classes. Skaters will answer a few short questions in person with Amanda after they skate.

Both the Preliminary and Juvenile teams have just returned from a successful trip to Wichita, Kansas where both teams earned a silver medal. The Juvenile team's performance qualified them for the 2018 US Synchronized Skating Championships in Portland, Oregon in just a few short weeks! We are so proud of all of you!
Thank you to the FSCPC board for their generous gift of these awesome skate bags for the Juvenile team in celebration of their qualification to Nationals!
Talk to your coach or club coordinator, Erika Roberts if you are interested!
Your child loves figure skating. He or she is progressing beyond Park City Ice Arena's Skating Academy or is ready for a bigger commitment and is interested in competitions, testing and/or shows. What's next? Become an Aspire member of the Figure Skating Club of Park City and register for the ASPIRE PROGRAM - our developmental program within the Figure Skating Club of Park City.
For every thirty minutes of instruction your child will need to practice for approximately one hour. This, of course, is adjusted downward for very young children (3-5).
Once your child has entered the ASPIRE Program and private lessons, good boot and blade fit are critical for safety and progress. Check with our skating director, Erika Roberts, to purchase a used pair or to order a new pair. Erika is a highly qualified boot fitter. New entry level boots and blades cost approximately $150-$200. Because children grow out of the skates before they wear them out, it is common to sell them and purchase used ones as they grow.
In addition to boots and blades, your skater will need plastic blade guards (to be used when walking around the rink) and soakers (to be used when storing and carrying skates in skate bag). See the equipment links for common options.
