Skater Recognition

ELIGIBILITY

All skaters who are active Full, Introductory, Collegiate or Adult members of the FSCPC are eligible for the Recognition Benefits outlined below, with the exception of Financial Assistance. 

Active membership is defined as:

  • Trains a minimum of 40 hours per year at the Park City Ice Arena

  • Performs in at least one Club Show (Holiday or Spring)

  • Participates in at least one Club Activity (e.g., fundraising, Junior Board, Club Ice, Park City Icing, parent is a FSCPC Board Member)

All skaters who have been a Full (or Adult) Member of the FSCPC for a minimum of one year (12 months) and meet the additional criteria outlined below, are also eligible to receive Financial Assistance. 

If a Full club member skater is ill, injured or has other extenuating circumstances and cannot participate in one of the Club Shows, but meets all other eligibility requirements, their eligibility for recognition benefits will be at the discretion of the FSCPC Board.

Some recognition benefits are determined by Qualifying Level or Event.  Qualifying levels and Events for each discipline are defined as follows:

Availability of all Recognition Benefits will be assessed annually by the FSCPC Board of Directors.  The Board will take into consideration the following, but not limited to, circumstances when determining the annual amount available for skater recognition: financial state of the Club, location of event, and number of potential skaters to participate. The Club reserves the right to revisit the amount paid out, at any point in the season.

AXEL CLUB

Should a skater land an Axel jump during the Membership Year, they will be presented with an Axel Rose (corresponding to the number of rotations) during the Spring Banquet in recognition of their accomplishment.  Achievement will be determined by the Coaches and provided to the Recognition Chair.  

BULLETIN BOARD

The FSCPC Junior Board will maintain a bulletin board in the lobby of the Ice Arena to recognize all member skaters' achievements, at all levels!  

CLUB BANQUET

All Club Members (including Aspire) will receive an invitation to the Annual Club Banquet in the Spring where skaters at all levels are recognized for their progress, accomplishments and achievements! 

SEND-OFF PARTIES

FSCPC will host a send-off party and exhibition for all qualifying level skaters competing at a qualifying event.  All Club Members are encouraged to attend!  

SHOW "CALL-OUT"

Qualifying skaters, by discipline, will be identified in Show Programs and asked to step forward for recognition during the Holiday & Spring Show. 

QUALIFYING SEASON KICK-OFF

In March of each year (beginning 2024), the Club will host a Qualifying Season Kick-Off where all skaters planning to compete at a qualifying level, at any discipline, will be recognized as the FSCPC Competitive Team!  This event is open to all Club Members!  

RECOGNITION PLAQUES

Skaters competing at the qualifying level or above for their discipline will be recognized via digital plaque on the FSCPC website as outlined below. Information will also be included in a monthly update to a digital banner inside the Park City Ice Arena.

In addition, the following achievements will be added to a dedicated plaque in the Park City Ice Arena Trophy Case.  

  • National Champion - National or Adult Championships

  • USFS Gold Medalists (skating skills, FS, Ice Dance)

Achievements of all members, regardless of membership type are regularly recognized on the Club and Ice Arena social media. 

TEAM JACKET

  • Skaters competing at the qualifying level or above, at any discipline, are eligible to purchase (at their expense) a FSCPC Team Jacket.  

  • FSCPC will pay to embroider the corresponding year on the purchased Team Jacket or the skater’s traditional club jacket.

  • The FSCPC Recognition Chair will facilitate ordering Team Jackets and embroidery.  

ANNUAL CLUB GIFT

During the Annual Spring Banquet, Full, Introductory, Collegiate and Adult members, meeting the eligibility criteria outlined above, are given a gift in recognition of their membership.  For 2023-34 Aspire Members who "opted in" to additional fundraising and volunteer hours will also receive the gift.  

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Qualifying skaters competing at a Qualifying Event are eligible to request financial assistance as outlined below.  To receive any financial support, skaters must have been a member of the FSCPC for a minimum of one (1) year and meet all other eligibility requirements.  Skaters MUST submit receipts for reimbursement.

TransPack for each eligible team member embroidered with the Park City Icing logo and skater’s name. 

Availability of Financial Assistance is dependent on the overall financial standing of the FSCPC and will be assessed annually by the FSCPC Board of Directors.  Total annual Club support is not to exceed $750 per skater, per year, excluding any funding received for Synchronized Skating.  

Reimbursement or other funding requests must be submitted within 60 days from the conclusion of the eligible event AND no later than June 30th of the competition / event year.
